Quilters at Mount Olive
The quilting group meets every Thursday morning 8:30-11:30. They cut squares which are sewn together for the size to be made, select a back and batting for each and then they are tied and then sewn around the outer edges. They make baby quilts for Interagency, lap robes for local Nursing Homes and the Prescott VA Hospital, lap robes and throws for Child Protective Services, and throws, twin, double, queen and king size quilts for a quilt sale the first week of December each year. A portion of the proceeds are given to several organizations in town and the remainder is used for supplies.
Come join us on Thursday mornings and enjoy the fellowship, meet new folks, and yes there is coffee with snacks at 10AM each week.
